We have our AGM booked for Wednesday, May 17, in the back room at Amigos. Our special guest speaker will be Steven Wiig, who will talk about the Oltumo Maasai Project and all the great work they’ve done there by applying permaculture principles.
We will start at 7:00 PM.

We’re doing it again! Intro to Permaculture Workshop
Date: Sunday, March 26, 2017
Place: Saskatoon Food Bank & Learning Centre – 202 Avenue C South, Saskatoon
Time: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Our Introduction to Permaculture Workshop is a great place to both start and deepen your knowledge of permaculture.
The day will begin at 9:00 AM and go until about 5:00 PM, with a few breaks during the day, including lunch (which is not included but there are plenty of places to go nearby and there is a small kitchen in the training facility).
As part of the training, you will have an opportunity to do some design on your own yard, so bring along rough measurements and an idea of your sun exposure and yard slope. If you do not have a yard, or like your yard as it is, you’ll be able to join up with someone else to help them with a design.
Cost is $70 for Permaculture Saskatchewan members/$80 for non-members.
To register email: email@example.com and give us your name and arrange payment. We can accept cheque or e-transfer.
Permaculture Saskatchewan is proud to present SEED: The Untold Story.
We will watch the film and have a discussion afterward.
And here’s the best part: If you are a Permaculture Saskatchewan member, it’s free!
and if you’re not, it’s only $5. Pay at the door.
Feb 15 at the Broadway Theatre. 715 Broadway Ave

Few things on Earth are as miraculous and vital as seeds. Worshipped and treasured since the dawn of humankind. In the last century, 94% of our seed varieties have disappeared. SEED: The Untold Story follows passionate seed keepers protecting our 12,000 year-old food legacy. As biotech chemical companies control the majority of our seeds, farmers, scientists, lawyers, and indigenous seed keepers fight a David and Goliath battle to defend the future of our food. In a harrowing and heartening story, these heroes rekindle a lost connection to our most treasured resource and revive a culture connected to seeds. SEED features Vandana Shiva, Dr. Jane Goodall, Andrew Kimbrell, Winona Laduke and Raj Patel.
SEED is Executive Produced by Academy Award Winning Actress Marisa Tomei, Marc Turtletaub (Little Miss Sunshine) and Phil Fairclough (Grizzly Man, Cave of Forgotten Dreams).
