This month’s get together features our Annual General Meeting as well as a presentation about Radiance Cohousing, a new housing initiative in Saskatoon.
As usual we will meet at the Saskatoon Food Bank & Learning Centre – 202 Avenue C South (upstairs). Doors open at 6:00 pm.
We will start supper at 6:30. Our Annual General meeting will begin at 7:30 after we’ve cleaned up. It will be short and sweet as we review what we did in the past year, talk a bit about our plans for the future, present our financial statement and elect our executive for the next year.
At 7:30 members from Radiance Cohousing will tell us about their developing housing project that will be built in the heart of Saskatoon. It will include permaculture design principles, green building techniques, and a focus on community.
Cohousing is a type of housing development that includes private homes and shared space. The residents’ homes are built alongside a Common House and shared yard, while the design itself creates opportunities for neighbours to interact. Cohousing residents also tend to host events and work on projects together, as well as become active in community events and initiatives.
Please join us for an informative and enjoyable evening.
Everyone welcome.
