Eat, Write and Be Merry
Wednesday March 16
6:00 pm to 9:30 pm
Saskatoon Food Bank & Learning Centre – upstairs
202 Avenue C South
Have you been meaning to write your City Councillor about an issue close to your heart but keep putting it off or don’t know quite how to get started? Well procrastinate no more. We’ve come up with a few templates for letters close to our hearts which you can use to get yourself started. The topics we’ve chosen are rainwater management in the city, active transportation in the city and a long-time favourite back yard chickens in the city.
So bring a food dish to share for the potluck and a pen and paper or your laptop to write with. If you are not sure who the councillor is for your ward, we can show you where to look that up, as well as where you can submit an email to him or her online.
We will meet upstairs at the Saskatoon Food Bank and Learning Centre.
Doors open at 6:00 pm.
We’ll eat around 6:30.
We’ll clean-up and should be ready to start letter writing by 7:30.
We will go through a few tips for letter writing, do an overview of the letters, and then set right down and write a letter or two.
While we have come up with three issues that we think are important, feel free to come with other ideas.
Everyone welcome
