Permablitz

Permablitz – coming to a yard near you this summer – possibly your own

Are you dreaming about turning a patch of lawn and dandelion into a vital functioning ecosystem that provides you with food and beauty?   Do you have a yard that you would love to start making some permaculture changes in this summer? Not sure where to start? What to do? How to organize it?

Well you are not alone.  We can help you by organizing a permablitz!!! That’s right, a permaculture work bee right in your own back yard (or front yard)! You get to be the host and we will work with you to design a plan, figure out what materials you will need, and recruit enthusiastic volunteers.

You’ll need to be a member of PRI Sask if you aren’t already and you must be willing to attend three other permablitzes.  You will responsible for gathering the materials you will need for the blitz and we ask that you provide those enthusiastic volunteer workers with food and drink.

We’d love to be in touch with you to get an early start and provide more details.

If you are interested or would like more information please contact us at:   permablitz@permasask.ca.

A little permablitz history:  Dan Palmer and Adam Grub from the Melbourne Permaculture community group created the original permablitz network as a way of encouraging Melbourne to embrace edible landscaping while building community at the same time. http://www.permablitz.net
