December Monthly Potluck & Meeting

For our monthly December meeting, instead of doing some boring old solstice party, we thought we’d celebrate the impending end of the world.

Yes, unless you’ve been living in total seclusion for some time now, you probably have heard that the Mayan calendar mysteriously ends on December 21, 2012, which some have chosen to interpret as a sign that the world is coming to an end. Hey, who are we to argue? If we can’t fight it, let’s celebrate.

Our possibly final ever monthly meeting will be on Thursday, December 20th, at the Unitarian Centre, 213 Snd Street E.

We will hold a potluck (feel free to bring Mayan-themed foods) and then Kirby will talk about Mayan food & agriculture.

The doors will be open about 6:00 PM, and we’ll be set up and ready to eat by about 6:30 or so.

Everyone welcome. Hope to see you there!

Also, a reminder that we are reaching the end of our first year of membership sales. If you bought a membership at our last winter solstice potluck, then it will be expiring. If you’d like to renew, please let us know or you can renew at the party.
